Nice to meet you! My name is Ben Fishbein, and I’m a digital marketing specialist with a focus on growth strategies. I’ve spent 5 years working in digital with over 30 different companies across Canada and the United States. Today I live in Toronto and work in telecommunications while providing digital consulting services to local businesses. In my free time I like to play hockey and baseball, and build websites like this one.

My work experience has included both agency & client-side digital marketing roles, beginning with account management roles before shifting to performance marketing. Working with small and medium-sized businesses, along with larger businesses across a range of different industries has allowed me to execute many unique digital strategies, which I detail below. These businesses work in a wide variety of industries, from law and dentistry to plumbing and contracting to apparel and food delivery. I’ve been fortunate to work with many talented people over the years, and learn from specialists across different digital marketing disciplines about the best practices that they apply to their campaign builds, and the creative elements that help different campaigns stand out to new customers. I believe that the keys to a successful digital campaign are:

  • Unique, creative and engaging content like blogs, how-to guides, images and videos.
  • Comprehensive industry and competitor research focused on competing digital presences.
  • Thorough, detailed-oriented and technically sound campaign builds.
  • A/B testing, more A/B testing, additional rounds of A/B testing, a little bit more A/B testing – you get the point.

Strategies

I focus only on digital strategies that I have executed and that have resulted in an increase in online traffic, Google rankings and/or lead inquiries. Those strategies are Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Local SEOPay Per Click (PPC) Advertising, Content Marketing and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). While every company and digital presence is unique, in my experience I’ve found that service-oriented businesses can benefit more from search engine optimization and content marketing, while product-based businesses can benefit more from pay per click advertising and conversion rate optimization. That being said, there is no one perfect strategy online for any business.
